The Change of Venue

As the innovator of the new concept of exhibition, Asia Hotel Art Fair is always seeking for a new challenge and improved changes. To overcome AHAF’s limitation of exhibition space, joined by Harbout City as our partner, AHAF is looking forward for a wider and more solid range of exhibition.

– Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel


Situated in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel is part of Harbour City. Comprising 665 luxurious guestrooms and suites, many of which offer breathtaking waterfront views of the celebrated Victoria Harbour, the hotel is also on the doorstep of Star Ferry terminal and MTR subway stations. The hotel is part of Marco Polo Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd, a Hong Kong-listed company with core business interests in property and investments in communications and container-terminal operations. Other Marco Polo Hotels properties are the Gateway and the Prince in Hong Kong, and hotels in mainland China, The Philippines.

– Harbour City

Situated in the commercial hub of Tsim Sha Tsui, comprises offices, retail shops, serviced apartments, hotels and club, Harbour City is home to Hong Kong’s largest and one of the world’s leading shopping, dining and entertainment centres, with 700 shops across a finely-calibrated price point matrix of luxury, middle market and high street brands, including 50 restaurants and 2 cinemas, offering the critical mass in the heart of the most dynamic retail location of Hong Kong for a captivating “shoppertainment” experience that enchants new and regular shoppers.
Harbour City is among the first malls in Hong Kong to incorporate art elements into mall events, making art appreciation part of people’s daily lives. In addition to a number of art events held at the mall throughout the year, Harbour City has also established of the unique “Gallery by the Harbour”, providing visitors a unique experience of appreciating art pieces from around the world against the backdrop of the stunning Victoria Harbour.

A variety of Sectors

In this year, AHAF Hong Kong 2014 allows visitors to explore four different sectors with wide range of art works including painting, sculpture, printing, photography, video work and new media works. To transcend a typical hotel art fair, AHAF Hong Kong has been evolved by expanding its space and exhibiting innovative and experimental art pieces.

– Galleries


As previous AHAF shows, Galleries sector present artworks of over 80 galleries from all over the world in the hotel rooms. Especially in 2014, over 80 premium galleries display paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, film, photographs and new medium works. Galleries which wish to apply for this sector must send the history of gallery’s programs.

– Innovative Cubes

In this sector, one or two artists can be presented by leading Asian art galleries. Galleries applying for this sector must be at least three year old. Any media is acceptable for the show. The thematic exhibitions must be curated by the galleries and proposed projects will be on screening by the selection committee.

– Beyond the Space



In this sector, as galleries present large-scale installations and sculptures, beyond AHAF’s limitation of space, AHAF challenges to provide a precious experience that shows unexpected large-scaled works to visitors at the special places in Harbour City and featured outdoor spaces. Galleries selected for Galleries sector and Innovative Cubes are able to get a chance to apply for this sector. The exclusive spaces will be provided for the galleries selected on the strength of the proposals. Please refer to the available spaces.

– Special Exhibitions

AHAF Committee will curate exclusive special exhibitions with professional Asian based curators.
In this year, the innovative and highly complete exhibitions will come up.
_ AHAF Young Artist Exhibition: Works of young artists from
(Korea/Japan/Taiwan/Indonesia/Malaysia/Europe/United States/Etc.)
